In a bizarre collaboration that breaks conventional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Revealed

According to the authorized release, "A strange encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where whispers of banned rituals and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine sect.

The adventure concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Changes

The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a striking moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Extra Material

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an exclusive katana together with several objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

This patch also brings the game's latest no-cost story episode, titled "The Mystery."
